Special Service Area #61 Downtown Hyde Park Chicago (DHP) is officially seeking a qualified landscape service contractor to lead the 2026 Median Landscape Project. This initiative focuses on the installation and year-round maintenance of in-ground plant beds along S. Lake Park Avenue, spanning from 52nd Street to 55th Street. The goal is to create a cohesive, vibrant corridor using bold blocks of color and height that reflect the unique aesthetic of the Hyde Park neighborhood.

The selected partner will be responsible for a comprehensive service schedule, including Spring/Summer planting, Fall and Winter/Holiday arrangements, and ongoing maintenance tasks such as weeding, pruning, and watering. DHP is looking for contractors who can balance aesthetic beauty with practical considerations, prioritizing plant varieties that are resilient and adhere to City of Chicago and IDOT guidelines. Special consideration will be given to proposals that incorporate green initiatives for the removal and disposal of seasonal materials.

Qualified firms are invited to submit their detailed proposals, including a scope of services, qualifications, and at least three professional references. DEADLINE for submission is no later than noon on Monday, April 17, 2026. Up to three potential contractors will be selected to present their concepts in person during the week of April 20th.
