Winter HPFM is the special shop local experience celebrating the holidays in Hyde Park Chicago. Co-produced by Special Service Area (SSA) #61 and the South East Chicago Commission (SECC), the Winter Hyde Park Farmers Market (HPFM) presents local, small business vendors for a special indoor event on Saturday November 11 and December 9, 2023 at The Promontory in Downtown Hyde Park Chicago!
Winter HPFM is great for residents and visitors looking for home items or unique gifts for the holiday season. The market has invited vendors with fresh baked goods, unique art, jewelry, wellness products, holiday stationary, gift baskets and stocking stuffers. Stop by and shop with our small, locally-owned businesses and vendors.
Winter HPFM promotes local small business retailers, specialty vendors and pastry shops with holiday product lines and great gift options. Due to the very limited space, vendor selection is very competitive. Applications are now being accepted for interested vendors until October 31, 2023.
The South East Chicago Commission and Special Service Area #61 proudly present the Hyde Park Farmers Market, thanks to the partnership of Hyde Park Bank. The new market reveals an entirely fresh look with all new logistics, giving residents and visitors a chance to shop on the weekends and experience an infusion of healthy food, lifestyles, arts and culture.
Shoppers will find fresh produce from local Illinois farms, freshly baked breads and desserts, beautiful plants, packaged foods, personal beauty supplies, and traditional farmers market fare. Several market vendors accept Mastercard and Visa, LinkUp and SNAP payments in addition to cash.
The market is in compliance with City of Chicago and State of Illinois pandemic protocols to provide a comfortable and safe shopping experience.
In addition to the local products and vendors, the Market will introduce new pop up vendors, musical performances, children’s activities, local organizations, and healthy engagements.
The Hyde Park Farmers Market accepts cash, credit and debit cards, and has also partnered with the Link Up Illinois and SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) program to offer additional payment options and access. The Hyde Park Farmers Market joins the Link Up Illinois statewide network to provide incentives to SNAP shoppers. A program of Experimental Station, Link Up Illinois’ mission is to increase the affordability and accessibility of fresh foods by matching the value of Link or SNAP purchases up to $25.00 per transaction across Illinois while making healthy food more affordable for SNAP recipients.
With pandemic protocols for safety and slightly different operating hours, the vendor and shopper experience will be even better than previous years. Applications are now being accepted for interested vendors.
We’d love to send you some fun stuff.
