2023 South Side Pie Challenge
The South Side Pie Challenge, an annual autumn competition and fundraiser, features amateur bakers seeking to test their pie-baking prowess against their neighbors competing in four categories: fruit, nut, cream and sweet potato or pumpkin pies.
The judging, done by a team of professional pastry chefs and pie-lovers, will take place at the Hyde Park Neighborhood Club.
On November 5, 2023 following the competition that afternoon, neighbors are invited to Hyde Park Neighborhood Club, 5480 S. Kenwood Ave., at 2:00 pm to sample all the goodies for $5 per slice.
